Our team is looking for a talented Technical Artist to join an international studio focused on developing a top-quality console gaming project. You will play a key role in bridging art and engineering, building efficient pipelines, supporting artists, and helping push visual quality while maintaining strong performance.
This is a full-time position with the option to work remotely or from the office in Tbilisi.
🚀 Responsibilities
• Design, implement, and maintain tools and workflows for artists
• Develop and optimize game features in Unreal Engine
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues across art and engine workflows
• Collaborate with character art, materials, UI, animation, VFX, and engineering teams
• Support both proprietary and third-party tools including Unreal Engine, 3ds Max, Maya, Blender, and Substance Painter
• Conduct R&D to improve visual quality and performance
• Create and maintain documentation for tools, pipelines, and best practices
• Optimize assets, shaders, and rendering setups
• Support VFX workflows and contribute to effects creation when needed
• Mentor junior team members and provide technical guidance
📚 Required Skills
• 4+ years of experience as a Technical Artist in game development
• Strong experience with Unreal Engine and Unreal Engine 5 pipelines
• Proven expertise in Python and Unreal Engine Blueprints
• Experience with shaders, materials, and performance optimization
• Hands-on experience with cloth simulation and physics systems
• Solid understanding of modeling, texturing, rigging, animation, and rendering workflows
• Ability to identify performance bottlenecks and propose solutions
• Strong communication skills and cross-team collaboration experience
• Up-to-date portfolio
👍 Nice to Have
• Experience with VFX in Unreal Engine
• Strong C++ and advanced Python skills
• Houdini workflows for procedural content generation
• Experience with Perforce or Git
• Background in sports games or large-scale simulation projects
• Experience with automation pipelines for asset processing
