Location: Fully remote within the United States or British Columbia, Canada.

Salary: $37p/hr – $57p/hr (USD) or CAD $34p/hr – $48p/hr.

What you will do

• Set up and test realistic clothing simulations using Havok Cloth for character clothing, ensuring performance requirements are met in-game.
• Refine meshes in collaboration with character artists and address feedback from Art Direction to meet visual expectations.
• Identify and implement improvements in the existing cloth simulation pipeline.
• Collaborate with other technical artists, support art teams directly, and work closely with engineers.

Requirements

• Experience with Havok Cloth software.
• Basic modeling experience for creating proxy meshes.
• A keen eye for a variety of fabric behaviors.
• Strong foundation in physics and anatomy.
• Proficiency in Maya and mastery of cloth simulation.
• Experience in writing tools, scripts, and pipeline development for games or visual effects.

Nice to have

• Experience with Marvelous Designer.
• Experience in Python and C#.
• Hands-on scripting and technical tools pipeline development.
• Familiarity with Perforce or other version control software.
