Location: Hybrid in either OKC, Oklahoma or Bellevue, WA.

Salary: 120,000 – 140,000 USD annually

What you will do

• Partner with Engineering teams to analyze cloud and SaaS data, spend trends to identify cost optimization and improved usage opportunities and create specific recommendations.
• Work with the teams to ensure proper tagging and allocation of cloud resources for accurate cost tracking and reporting.
• Create FinOps focused knowledge articles/documentation and promote FinOps best practices/concepts to arm and empower teams.
• Recommend and/or implement strategies to optimize costs, such as right-sizing resources, purchasing reserved instances or savings plans, and shutting down unused resources.
• Create reports, dashboards and alerts to track spending and usage trends and the potential impact of cost optimizations.
• Implement a mechanism to attribute cloud and SaaS spends back to individual departments, projects, or teams.

Requirements

• 2+ years of experience in Cloud FinOps engineering analysis and Cloud cost optimization.
• 4+ years in cloud operations role managing Cloud environments, budgets, forecasts and implementing financial controls.
• Strong principles of financial analysis.
• Proven analytical skills and experience with cost optimization.
• Working knowledge of the public cloud providers.
• Ability to query, transform, analyze and summarize data efficiently and accurately.
