Location: Hybrid in Kraków, Poland (3 days in office)

Salary: 400,000 PLN minimum

What you will do

  • Demonstrate high-quality engineering by leading hands-on and embodying a world-class engineer.
  • Act as a primary point of contact for stakeholders, providing clear visibility of work programs, guidance, and mentoring.
  • Partner with other engineering leads in UK Tech and actively participate in cross-team initiatives.
  • Provide regular reporting and objective metrics on availability, technical risks, and project progress.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience in Core Java, including leading a team of engineers.
  • Strong engineering mindset and hands-on Java experience, able to lead by example in delivery and operational support.
  • Keen interest in ongoing learning, both business and technical, to gain deep understanding of IG's trading business.
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills to assess risks and articulate priorities to stakeholders.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with great attention to detail.
  • Track record of delivery and operational efficiency improvements.
