What you will do

• Lead a team delivering features and bug-fixes for Ring products portfolio.
• Work across teams to manage dependencies and align on engineering work and timelines.
• Collaborate with business and other internal teams to define and own features.
• Remove barriers to execution for the team.
• Define and execute process improvements to allow the team to improve over time.
• Mentor, hire, and retain excellent engineers.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Engineering team management experience.
• People management experience.
• Experience with building successful production software systems.
• Experience working with networking or communications devices in an embedded environment.

Nice to have

• Deep understanding of software development in a team and a track record of shipping software on time.
• Proficiency of the tools of the trade, including modern programming languages (C/C++, Python) and open-source technologies (Linux, RTOS).
• Excellence in technical communication with peers and non-technical cohorts.
• Strong track record of project delivery for large, cross-functional projects.
