Credit Controller (Fintech)

TL;DR

Credit Controller (Fintech): Managing Autolend indemnities process, tracking and resolving outstanding balances with broker partners. Focus on investigating misallocated funds, improving credit control procedures, and building relationships with brokers and internal teams.

Location: You can work from home every Monday and Friday, but on the other days you should be in the office in London.

What you will do

• Own and manage indemnities for the Autolend product, tracking and resolving outstanding balances with broker partners.
• Reconcile and maintain detailed records using Google Sheets, pulling data from multiple sources.
• Investigate and resolve misallocated or delayed funds, especially those linked to complaints.
• Build productive relationships with brokers and internal teams to resolve issues and set up smooth processes for the future.
• Prepare regular reports for internal stakeholders, highlighting risks and improvement opportunities.
• Document and improve credit control procedures for Autolend and other products as required.

Requirements

• 2+ years as a credit controller, ideally in financial services.
• Proficient Google Sheets skills (VLOOKUPs, pivots, data validation, etc.) and strong reconciliation ability.
• Highly organised, able to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Experienced at working cross-functionally and managing external partners, especially brokers.
• Proven record in debt chasing and account reconciliations with multiple parties.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.

Nice to have

• Motor finance and/or fintech experience is a major advantage.
• Process-oriented, resilient, and comfortable with ambiguity.
• Experience documenting and improving processes.
• Self-starter, able to take initiative and deliver independently.
