Location: Hybrid working with a London Office presence required.

What you will do

  • Lead and develop teams in Credit Models and Lending Strategy.
  • Define and execute strategic direction for credit portfolio management and analytics.
  • Oversee impairment forecasting, stress-testing, and IFRS9 reporting.
  • Drive the roadmap for model development, deployment, and lifecycle management, including GenAI credit models.
  • Ensure compliance with IFRS9 standards and UK regulatory expectations.
  • Act as a player-manager, combining hands-on work with leadership and mentoring.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of senior leadership experience in credit portfolio management within commercial banking/lending.
  • Deep knowledge of IFRS9 provisioning and related model families (PD, LGD, SICR, EAD, Economic Response modelling).
  • Strong experience in stress testing, scenario analysis, and bridging analytics into capital and provisioning decisions.
  • Ability to present complex material to senior committees and external stakeholders (regulators, auditors).
  • Good understanding of UK regulatory expectations (IFRS9, PRA).
  • Strong capability in people leadership and stakeholder management.

Nice to have

  • Experience in modelling or deep understanding of modelling methods.
  • Coding ability in Python/SQL.
