TL;DR

Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A): Leading and developing the FP&A function for a high-growth technology company, focusing on improving performance, optimising cost structures, and strengthening unit economics through rigorous analysis and insights. Focus on driving forecasting accuracy, commercial understanding, and long-term value creation.

Location: 100% Remote (UK). Currently only able to accept applications from within the United Kingdom.

What you will do

  • Lead, develop and mentor a team of Finance Business Partners, fostering a high-performance culture.
  • Design, implement, and embed a scalable Finance Business Partnering model, delivering commercial insights.
  • Take ownership of all financial forecasting cycles, including budgeting, long-range planning, and re-forecasting.
  • Present financial insights and recommendations to the Executive team and the Board.
  • Contribute to key fundraising activities through investor material preparation and engagement.
  • Partner with Product, Technology, Operations, and Commercial teams to support strategic initiatives.
  • Lead the development of dashboards, KPIs, and reporting frameworks.
  • Drive continuous refinement of forecasting models, financial tools, and planning processes.

Requirements

  • Extensive FP&A Leadership experience, ideally within a high-growth, technology-led or financial services environment.
  • Experience within a start-up / scale-up environment, ideally within a SaaS company.
  • Demonstrated success in building and managing Finance Business Partnering teams, with strong coaching capability.
  • Proven experience in corporate finance, with the ability to support investor engagement.
  • Ability to influence and challenge senior stakeholders, with a collaborative approach and strong commercial acumen.
  • Deep expertise in financial modelling, forecasting, budgeting, and scenario analysis.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to distil complex financial concepts into impactful insights.

Nice to have

  • An Accountancy qualification (CIMA; ACA; ACCA).
