Cloud Engineer

TL;DR

Cloud Engineer (GCP/Kubernetes): Managing GCP services and building Terraform deployment templates in a Cloud Environment with an accent on containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE). Focus on improving efficiency and success through workflow alterations.

Location: Remote position open to qualified applicants in Ontario and/or Nova Scotia, Canada.

Salary: $64,000 to $74,500 per year

What you will do

• Manage GCP services such as GCE, GKE, IAM, GCS.
• Build, deploy, and debug Terraform deployment templates in a Cloud Environment.
• Build, deploy and debug issues around Helm Charts and Docker images on Cloud.
• Work with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE).
• Suggest workflow alterations to improve efficiency and success.

Requirements

• 4-6 years of experience in building, deploying and debugging Terraform deployment templates in a Cloud Environment.
• 2-3 years of hands-on experience in building, deploying and debugging issues around Helm Charts and Docker images on Cloud.
• Strong Experience with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker, Kubernetes/GKE)
• Solid Understanding of Infrastructure as Code (IaC) principles and experience with tools like Terraform, Deployment manager.
• Good knowledge on VM images types, OS, UNIX and LINUX OS.
• Must be Flexible to work in CST/PST work hours.
