Cloud Engineer (DevOps)

Location: Hybrid role based in Mountain View, California or Waterloo, Ontario. Applicants must not require employer sponsored work authorization for employment in the United States.

Salary: $125,000 - $178,000 (USD) base salary + bonus + benefits.

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable, secure, and cost-efficient cloud infrastructure using automation.
• Identify functional and nonfunctional cloud infrastructure requirements.
• Follow cloud architecture standards and ensure compliance (HIPAA, GDPR, FedRAMP).
• Automate cloud infrastructure on GCP and other providers via Infrastructure as Code and GitOps.
• Automate cloud operations to reduce toil into self-service workflows.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
• 2+ years of experience in public cloud platforms like Google Cloud Platform (GCP) or AWS.
• 2+ years of experience managing cloud through Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and through GitOps using GitHub Actions, Argo CD, Jenkins.
• 1+ years of experience with programming & scripting languages like Go, Python, Shell, and implementing scalable, reliable, and secure cloud network solutions.
• 1+ years of experience in establishing observability systems to monitor production systems and leading incident management processes.

Nice to have

• Hands-on experience in Google Cloud Platform.
• Certified Kubernetes Administrator with deep understanding of Kubernetes internals.
• Familiarity with IaC actuation tools like Atlantis, Terraform Cloud.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Write technical & design documentation.
