Devops Engineer II (Aws)

TL;DR

Devops Engineer II (AWS): Responsible for automation and development of backend infrastructure that powers the hirify.global Cloud, which customers use to manage Apple devices. Focus on maintaining and scaling Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments, ensuring security best practices, and developing custom tools and automation through programming and scripting.

Location: Must be based in Minneapolis, MN; Eau Claire, WI; or Austin, TX. You may be required to work periodically at a hirify.global office or collaborative work location with other hirify.global employees in your area for certain events or moments that matter. Salary: $93,700 - $199,800 USD

What you will do

• Develop, deploy, and maintain production environments using automation, tools, and techniques like Infrastructure as Code, Configuration as Code, Serverless, and Containerization.
• Ensure security best practices are integrated into system designs and configurations.
• Assist in evaluating, planning, configuring, and implementing new software services.
• Develop custom tools and automation through programming and scripting.
• Support Software Development by maintaining and scaling Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery environments.
• Apply Data Lifecycle Management to sensitive data through backups, permissions management, and auditing.

Requirements

• Minimum of 2 year experience in Continuous Integration Tools, Configuration Management, or Systems Administration.
• Minimum of 2 year experience as a power user of operating systems (Linux, Windows, Mac).
• Minimum of 2 year experience in a current programming language (e.g. Python, Golang).
• Minimum of 2 year experience using Source Control Management tools (e.g. Git).
• Experience with containerization concepts and Kubernetes.
• Experience building and maintaining cloud native services (Amazon Web Services).

Nice to have

• Experience using issue tracking software (e.g. JIRA).
• Experience developing enterprise grade software with understanding of the software development life cycle.
• Experience with infrastructure as code techniques (e.g. Terraform).
• Experience in enterprise security and hardening best practices.
• Experience working with monitoring and logging tools (e.g. LogicMonitor, Sumologic, ELK).
