TL;DR

Head of Commercial Strategy (Pharma Events): Driving revenue growth and enhancing brand visibility for a Pharma CPHI Events Portfolio with an accent on managing key accounts, developing digital and sponsorship strategies, and ensuring successful event execution. Focus on accelerating growth through market analysis, building profitable partnerships, and leading a senior team to maximize customer satisfaction and incremental revenue.

Location: Hybrid (Amsterdam, Netherlands). Requires working in-person three days a week or more from the Amsterdam office. Extensive travel (approx. 1-2 times per month) is also required.

What you will do

  • Develop and implement commercial strategies according to company goals and objectives.
  • Lead and mentor a team of Key Account Managers to maximize growth through personalized partnerships.
  • Drive digital innovation and sponsorship strategy, delivering new revenue opportunities and strengthening brand presence.
  • Ensure seamless coordination and successful event delivery for exhibitors.
  • Conduct market research and analysis to create detailed business plans on commercial opportunities.
  • Monitor performance of commercial activities using key metrics and prepare reports for senior management.

Requirements

  • Must be based in Amsterdam, Netherlands.
  • Availability for extensive travel (approx. 1-2 times per month).
  • Proven experience directly managing teams at a senior level.
  • Proven track record in driving ancillary revenues, including sponsorship and digital.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills and strategic planning capability.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for building and maintaining partnerships.

  • Experience using Salesforce.
