TL;DR

OpenStack Cloud Engineer (DevOps): Implementing and securing on-premises cloud infrastructure to deliver highly available and scalable services with an accent on automating processes, managing CI/CD pipelines, and ensuring security and compliance. Focus on leading system design, resolving complex infrastructure vulnerabilities, and mentoring junior engineers.

Location: Hybrid (3 days a week in office, 2 days from home) in London or Bristol, United Kingdom

What you will do

• Lead cloud system design and review for performance, security, and scalability.
• Manage automation of cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration, and DevOps deployment.
• Consult stakeholders on cloud-native systems and effective platform usage.
• Execute complex data analyses for efficiency and cloud management tool investments.
• Identify, analyze, and resolve complex infrastructure vulnerabilities and application issues.
• Champion and share knowledge on emerging cloud engineering trends and best practices, mentoring team members.

Requirements

• Strong experience in designing, deploying, and managing scalable and secure cloud infrastructure using OpenStack components (Nova, Neutron, Cinder, Glance, Keystone, Horizon).
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with OpenStack deployment and operations.
• Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines for cloud-native applications in OpenStack.
• Strong understanding of Linux systems administration.
• Experience with containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes) in OpenStack environments.
• Expertise with Microsoft AD CS, HashiCorp Vault, OpenSSL, and HSMs, integrating PKI with IAM and secure communications.

Nice to have

• Experience with OpenStack APIs and custom automation scripting (Python, Bash).
• Deep understanding of cryptographic protocols and key management systems.
• Experience in designing and deploying networking solutions.
