What you will do
- Investigate and resolve advanced customer issues across PostgreSQL, Auth, RLS, Storage, Realtime, Edge Functions, and client libraries.
- Provide proactive guidance on workload optimization, reliability, and common platform pitfalls.
- Reproduce bugs, identify root causes, develop workarounds, and escalate actionable cases to engineering.
- Communicate clearly with users during complex, high-impact, or time-sensitive incidents.
- Identify recurring issues and recommend improvements to documentation, tooling, and the product.
- Mentor junior support engineers and improve support quality.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in technical support, databases, backend engineering, SRE, or a related field.
- Deep PostgreSQL expertise, including autovacuum, WAL growth, long-running transactions, and table bloat.
- Strong high-performance SQL and query optimization skills.
- Experience troubleshooting complex and multi-tenant database setups.
- Ability to debug Edge Functions and distributed-system failures.
- Hands-on AWS experience and confidence working in terminal and Linux environments.
