TL;DR
Database Administrator / Data Engineer (AWS/SQL): Supporting business-critical data platforms and database solutions for a large-scale public sector programme with an accent on database administration, ETL processes, and cloud integration. Focus on optimizing data pipelines, managing AWS ecosystem components, and ensuring high availability of relational databases in a regulated environment.
Location: Must be based in Copenhagen, Denmark (minimum four days per week onsite at the client's location)

What you will do
- Install, maintain, patch, and upgrade database platforms.
- Design and implement data integrations, ETL processes, and optimized data pipelines.
- Perform database performance tuning, monitoring, and overall health checks.
- Manage backup, recovery, and database security, including users, roles, and permissions.
- Support data migration, quality initiatives, and reporting requirements.
- Produce technical documentation and advise on data storage and integration technologies.
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience with databases and data platforms.
- Strong expertise in SQL and relational databases, specifically SQL Server.
- Mandatory experience with AWS ecosystem (Glue, S3, RDS, IAM, CloudWatch, Lambda).
- Experience with Linux environments, data modelling, and data migration.
- Fluent Danish is essential.
Nice to have
- Strong experience with PostgreSQL and PL/pgSQL.
- Proficiency in Python and PySpark.
- Experience in data engineering and data pipeline development.
