TL;DR

Legal Counsel (Gaming): Handling all legal matters with a focus on intellectual property law, contracts, corporate matters, labor, and data protection. Focus on drafting and negotiating a wide variety of agreements, ensuring robust IP protection, and implementing advanced GDPR compliance for a global gaming company.

Location: Hybrid model, office is in Issy-les-Moulineaux (Issy Val de Seine station), France.

What you will do

  • Draft, review, and negotiate a wide variety of agreements for game development, publishing, licensing, distribution, and vendor relations.
  • Provide legal advice on competition, e-commerce, consumer protection, and youth protection laws, including drafting EULAs and TOS.
  • Act as the bridge between legal and business teams, translating complex legal risks into clear, actionable business guidance.
  • Serve as the primary legal partner for HR, covering hiring, offboarding, documentation, sensitive negotiations, and labor relations.
  • Manage the company's trademark portfolio and ensure overall protection of hirify.global' intellectual property alongside the Head of Legal.
  • Oversee all corporate law events, including BSPCE allocations, shareholder assemblies, board meetings, and cap table management.
  • Enhance GDPR compliance through privacy by design implementation and process improvements.

Requirements

  • Solid legal skills and reasoning.
  • Autonomous, organized, structured, proactive, and solution-oriented approach.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in French and English.
  • Adaptability, reactivity, and pragmatism in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interest in the video game industry and a tech enthusiast.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a legal capacity, preferably within the entertainment industry.
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent in Law.
