Finance Transformation Intern

TL;DR

Finance Transformation Intern: Supporting the Finance team by identifying, designing, and implementing technology-driven solutions to enhance financial processes, reporting, and analytics with an accent on automation and predictive analytics. Focus on data integration, dashboard development, and rollout of new digital tools across the Finance organization.

Location: Hybrid role located in Providence, Rhode Island

What you will do

• Collaborate with Finance and IT teams to identify, design, and implement technology-driven solutions that enhance financial processes, reporting, and analytics.
• Support automation initiatives using tools such as Power BI and advanced Excel, helping to streamline manual tasks.
• Identify, plan, and execute potential machine learning or AI processes and tools.
• Participate in projects focused on data integration and dashboard development.
• Assist with the evaluation and rollout of new digital tools and best practices across the Finance organization.
• Engage with transformation liaisons and stakeholders to gather requirements, document growth areas, and propose innovative solutions.

Requirements

• Currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field degree program.
• Proficiency in data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, Power BI, Python, SQL).
• Strong interest in business processes and digital transformation.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with large volumes of data.
• Well-organized, with effective communication skills and a strong desire to learn.
• Must be able to work 37.5 hours/week during the summer, with the possibility of extension into the fall/spring semester at a minimum of 12 hours/week.
