TL;DR

Senior User Researcher: Building user-centred practices and aligning research activities to inform service propositions for public sector projects with an accent on inclusive research, a wide range of primary/secondary research methods, and analysis/synthesis of findings. Focus on understanding the social and technological context, informing strategic decision-making, and embedding user-centred practices into agile workflows.

Location: Hybrid working model, requires full right to work in the UK and eligibility for Security Clearance. Based in Leeds, United Kingdom.

What you will do

  • Build user-centred practices in new teams and align research activities with service propositions.
  • Carry out user research and supervise/develop other user researchers to assure and improve research practice.
  • Help teams understand user diversity and advocate for inclusive practices to design accessible services.
  • Help teams adopt a wide range of primary and secondary user research methods.
  • Analyse research data, synthesise findings, and present key implications tailored for different audiences.
  • Align user research activities to inform strategic decision-making and action.

Requirements

  • 4+ years User Research experience.
  • Experience working to GDS design principles or equivalent standards in the UK Public sector.
  • Full right to work in the UK.
  • Eligible for Security Clearance.
  • Ability to work to a hybrid model in Leeds, United Kingdom.
  • Understand and have experience of a range of user-centred and agile practices.
