What you will do

• Collaborate with artists and engineers to iterate, debug, and refine tools and processes for film production.
• Act as the first support line to solve day-to-day problems artists may encounter.
• Report to the TD Supervisor on the status of technical development projects and tool performance.
• Examine production user experiences and identify areas of improvement to production pipelines.
• Provide support, guidance, and instruction to junior members of the team.

Requirements

• 5+ years in VFX or animation industries.
• 3+ years in the animation industry.
• BS degree in Computer Science or similar technical field of study.
• Expert in Python.
• Experience building tools for Maya, Houdini, and Nuke.
• Experience in Linux and Windows operating systems.

Nice to have

• Experience in C++.
• Experience working with version control systems (Git).
• Experience with Renderman and Arnold.
• High English level desirable.
• Spanish desirable.
