What you will do

• Design, deploy, and maintain IT systems, including servers, networking equipment, and virtualization platforms.
• Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and implement corrective actions to ensure maximum uptime and reliability.
• Manage Windows and Linux server environments, including configuration, patch management, and security hardening.
• Configure and maintain network devices, such as routers, switches, wireless access points and firewalls, to support business requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and support business-critical applications, services and security controls.
• Provide technical support and mentorship to junior members of the IT team.

Requirements

• 4+ years of experience in IT systems engineering.
• Strong proficiency in Windows and Linux server administration, including Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, and file services.
• Strong proficiency in networking and security concepts, technologies and protocols, including TCP/IP, VLANs, routing, switching, firewalls, endpoint protection and encryption technologies.
• Strong proficiency in storage concepts and protocols, such as SMB/CIFS, NFS, iSCSI and Fibre Channel.
• Experience with virtualization technologies, such as Proxmox, VMware vSphere, and Microsoft Hyper-V.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
