TL;DR

3D Technical Artist (Unity3D): Developing and optimizing visually striking assets and custom shaders, bridging art with technology for gaming and commercial clients. Focus on creating custom shaders, implementing optimized assets for Unity's pipelines, and solving complex technical challenges related to asset integration and performance.

Location: Fully Remote with core hours (10:00–15:00 CET).

What you will do

  • Develop, optimize, and maintain art pipelines primarily in Unity3D and occasionally in Unreal Engine.
  • Create custom shaders using Shader Graph, Amplify Shaders, and HLSL.
  • Implement and optimize assets for Unity's URP, HDRP, and SRP pipelines.
  • Collaborate closely with Tech Leads, Art Directors, Producers, and Supervisors.
  • Solve technical challenges related to asset integration, lighting, visual effects, and performance.
  • Communicate technical requirements and solutions to internal teams and external clients.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of professional experience as a Technical Artist in the gaming or related industries.
  • Proficient in Unity3D (Unity 6+, URP, HDRP, SRP) and solid experience in shader development.
  • Good understanding of real-time optimization techniques and constraints.
  • Familiarity with Blender or comparable 3D software.
  • Proven experience with task management tools (Jira, Notion) and version control systems.
  • Strong communication skills in English (written and verbal).

Nice to have

  • Experience with Unreal Engine (UE4/UE5).
  • Proficiency in Houdini for procedural generation and automation.
  • Programming/scripting skills (C#, HLSL, Python).
  • Experience in 3D modeling, texturing, or general art production.
