Focus on ensuring reliability, security, and performance exceed defined SLAs for a distributed system, troubleshooting complex issues, and increasing engineering velocity while decreasing cognitive load.

Location: Global remote, with a request to overlap some working hours with Eastern Standard Time (EST).

What you will do

• Build and orchestrate Modern OTEL-based Observability Platform.
• Define and support modern governance in observability and problems at scale.
• Ensure reliability, security, and performance exceed defined SLAs.
• Work with engineering teams to troubleshoot issues and deploy new products and services.
• Lead the design and deployment of monitoring/observability services.
• Oversee the availability, performance, and supportability of observability infrastructure.

Requirements

• 7+ years of relevant professional experience in DevOps, infrastructure, SRE, or platform teams.
• Ability to develop software beyond typical infrastructure configurations.
• Experience programming in C, C++, Java, Python, Go, Perl, or Ruby.
• Expert knowledge in designing, developing, and managing large real-time systems.
• Experience with monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and centralized logging (ELK Stack, Splunk, or Grafana Stack).
• Experience with distributed systems and container orchestration, including Kubernetes.
