What you will do

• Design, build, and deploy AI-powered and LLM-driven features for claim synthesis including extraction from complex medical documents and human-in-the-loop summarization workflows.
• Develop hybrid machine learning solutions leveraging LLMs, statistical models, and embeddings-based retrieval techniques such as RAG.
• Write clean, scalable, and efficient code while optimizing AI/ML system performance in production.
• Collaborate with data labelers and subject matter experts to evaluate AI outputs and improve model performance.
• Partner with Product teams to iterate rapidly on feedback and deliver impactful features.
• Translate AI/ML research into reliable, maintainable production solutions.

Requirements

• Must have 3+ years of Python development experience and 1+ year building and deploying LLM-powered products.
• Experience with hybrid AI approaches including LLMs, RAG, embeddings, and statistical machine learning.
• Proven ability to build and integrate API services in microservice architectures.
• Strong skills in evaluating LLM outputs and aligning model behavior with business outcomes.
• Expertise in prompt engineering and fine-tuning LLMs for domain-specific applications.
• Location: Must be based in the United States or eligible for visa transfer sponsorship.

Nice to have

• Experience translating state-of-the-art AI/ML research into production code.
• Comfortable collaborating with data labelers and SMEs to improve training data and evaluation.
• Experience building agentic or autonomous AI systems in production.
• Background working with multimodal data such as images and audio.
