Principal Engineer (PHP)

What you will do

• Take ownership of the technical direction and architecture for the Merchant Experience pillar.
• Define and ensure adherence to architectural best practices, design standards, and engineering-wide strategy.
• Guide and mentor multiple development teams on implementation, design details, and coding standards.
• Investigate and resolve complex architecture-related problems, including performance, scalability, and integration.
• Collaborate with other architects to create cohesive architecture practices and drive their adoption across teams.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in software engineering, including roles such as Staff/Principal Engineer or Software Architect.
• Expert-level understanding of Domain Driven Design (DDD) principles and Microservices architecture.
• Solid understanding of software fundamentals, including Data Structures, Software Architecture, Design Patterns, and Distributed Systems.
• Proven experience with AWS or other major cloud platforms (Google Cloud, Azure).
• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills (C1+).

Nice to have

• Expert-level PHP knowledge.
• Experience with PostgreSQL and MySQL databases.
• Understanding of frontend technologies, specifically VueJS.
