TL;DR

Commercial Counsel: Supporting global go-to-market teams by negotiating and structuring inbound vendor and customer contracts with an accent on SaaS agreements, data privacy, and legal compliance. Location: San Francisco, CA, onsite role with US location restriction

Salary: $212,000 - $319,000 total target cash (inclusive of bonus or commission)

What you will do

  • Negotiate and close strategic, high-value customer contracts including SaaS agreements, professional services, partner agreements, DPAs, NDAs, and RFPs.
  • Act as a strategic advisor to the go-to-market team on legal and contracting issues.
  • Develop education and training materials for the sales organization on contracting, data privacy, and legal compliance.
  • Implement efficiencies in self-service and commercial negotiation processes and contract lifecycle management.
  • Revise contract templates based on product, organizational, or legal changes.
  • Collaborate across teams to improve efficiencies and advise on legal and business risk mitigation strategies.

Requirements

  • Must have 5+ years of commercial contract negotiation experience with in-house and law firm background.
  • JD and active membership in at least one state bar.
  • Proven drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Solutions-oriented and self-starter able to work in a fast-paced, ambiguous startup environment.
  • Collaborative team player with strong communication skills.
  • Location: Must be based in or able to work onsite in San Francisco, CA, United States.
