What you will do

• Design and apply practical, scalable methods to improve AI model safety and reliability, including RLHF, automated red teaming, and scalable oversight.
• Evaluate AI methods using health-related data to ensure accuracy, reliability, and trustworthiness.
• Build reusable libraries for general alignment techniques applicable to AI models.
• Identify and understand safety risks in AI models and systems proactively.
• Collaborate with cross-team stakeholders to integrate safety methods into core model training and product launches.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or willing to relocate to San Francisco, CA, USA
• English: Proficient (B2 or higher)
• 4+ years of experience in deep learning research and LLMs, especially in AI safety and alignment techniques.
• Ph.D. or equivalent degree in computer science, AI, machine learning, or related field.
• Experience with practical AI model improvements and deployment.
• Team player with collaborative work style and goal-oriented mindset.
