Enterprise Risk Manager - Technology Services

TL;DR

Enterprise Risk Manager (Technology Services): Partnering with the Technology Services division to embed and develop the enterprise-wide risk management framework, ensuring effective risk identification, assessment, and management. Focus on strengthening first-line risk maturity, overseeing risk and control self-assessments, and producing insightful reporting.

Location: Hybrid, 3-4 days per week in the office (Manchester). New team members will spend the first 3 months full-time in the office.

What you will do

• Partner with Technology Services to embed and develop the Group Risk Management Framework.
• Promote a positive risk culture and provide education and guidance on risk processes.
• Support and challenge risk owners on risk and control assessments.
• Oversee risk and control self-assessments and conduct controls testing.
• Ensure data accuracy in the Group’s risk system and support the risk incident process.
• Produce high-quality, insightful reporting and conduct thematic risk reviews.

Requirements

• Strong understanding of IT and technology risk areas (cyber security, information security, IT resilience, disaster recovery, business continuity, data governance, privacy, change, third-party risk).
• At least five years’ experience in a risk-focused role.
• Knowledge of risk management frameworks (ISO31000, NIST, COBIT, COSO).
• Understanding of control frameworks and IT general controls.
• Strong communication and report writing skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Commercial awareness and a pragmatic approach to risk.

Nice to have

• Experience in control assurance.
• Certifications such as ITIL Master or Expert, CISA or CRISC.
