TL;DR

Technology Risk & Controls Manager (Fintech): Partnering with the Technology business area to embed and manage the Risk Management Framework, focusing on technology control design, vendor management, and operational resilience. Focus on hands-on risk support, control testing, and ensuring regulatory compliance for non-financial risks within a fast-moving fintech environment.

Location: Hybrid working, requiring presence in the UK.

What you will do

  • Partner with the Technology business area to embed the Risk Management Framework, policies, and procedures.
  • Provide expert input into the design and operation of technology control and vendor management frameworks.
  • Perform testing of existing and new key controls and support the operational resilience programme.
  • Support and administer the bank’s Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) and capital calculation for Operational Risk.
  • Provide hands-on support for updating risk information and preparing First Line Risk Reporting.

Requirements

  • Strong Risk knowledge and experience, including RCSAs, Controls, Risk Libraries, and risk event reporting.
  • Expertise in technology control frameworks and vendor management standards.
  • Hands-on experience in assurance/monitoring of risks and controls across non-financial risk disciplines.
  • Strong written and presentation skills, capable of communicating across different seniority levels.
  • Willingness to be very hands-on and adapt quickly, with a focus on delivering results and meeting deadlines.
  • English: B2 required

Nice to have

  • Knowledge of ISO27001 and SOC2 type controls.
  • Knowledge of relevant non-financial risk regulatory requirements (e.g., Operational Resilience, Outsourcing).
