What you will do

  • Assess and manage technology risks across IT systems within financial services.
  • Design and implement risk controls, policies, and assurance frameworks.
  • Provide expertise on mobile application security, network infrastructure resilience, and cloud services.
  • Collaborate with risk owners and control offices to embed operational risk management.
  • Use operational data to monitor risk exposure and support decision-making.
  • Coach and inspire teams aligned with group strategy and purpose.

Requirements

  • Location: Must be based in or able to work hybrid from Leeds, Halifax, or Manchester (UK)
  • English: Proficient English required (job posting in English)
  • Deep expertise in technology risk and operational risk frameworks in financial services.
  • Knowledge of laws, regulations, and industry standards related to technology risk.
  • Experience with emerging technologies such as AI and digital ledger technology.
  • Ability to set control objectives and performance indicators aligned with business strategy.
