Senior Data Engineer

What you will do

• Design and implement scalable ETL/ELT workflows using AWS and modern data tools like DBT, Apache Spark, and Databricks.
• Architect and maintain cloud-native data platforms supporting batch and streaming data, AI workloads, and large-scale analytics.
• Collaborate with product, BI, support teams, and data scientists to solve data-related challenges and optimize pipelines for AI/ML models.
• Build AI-driven self-healing data pipelines with intelligent error detection and automated remediation.
• Lead adoption of AI development tools and mentor junior engineers in data engineering and AI collaboration.
• Participate in the full software development lifecycle including AI-assisted requirements gathering and deployment.

Requirements

• Must be located in Spain or able to work remotely from Spain.
• 3+ years of experience in data engineering with strong ETL pipeline and dimensional modeling skills.
• Proficiency with SQL RDBMS, AWS services (Redshift, Athena, S3, Kinesis, Glue), and data platform tools like DBT and Databricks.
• Experience with AI coding assistants and understanding of AI/ML concepts including feature stores and real-time inference pipelines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Nice to have

• Experience in SaaS or e-commerce environments with AI/ML products.
• Knowledge of stream processing frameworks like Kafka, Flink, or Spark Structured Streaming.
• Familiarity with LLMOps, AI model deployment, containerization, and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes.
