TL;DR

Software Engineer (Fintech): Develop and maintain critical backend systems for regulatory breach alerting, customer remediation tooling, and operational strategy features with an accent on scalable, robust code and regulatory compliance. Focus on designing distributed service-based architecture, cloud-native solutions, and mentoring peers in a fast-paced fintech environment.

Location: Hybrid work with preference for candidates located within commutable distance to London, Southampton, Cardiff, or Manchester offices in the UK

What you will do

  • Build and maintain systems for regulatory breach alerting and customer remediation at scale.
  • Develop new features supporting the bank’s operational strategy.
  • Take ownership of complex technical challenges and deliver robust, scalable backend code.
  • Collaborate across teams in a cloud-native, distributed service-based architecture environment.
  • Mentor peers and contribute to engineering excellence and clean coding practices.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of software engineering experience with strong backend development skills.
  • Proven ability to deliver robust, scalable code and engineering excellence.
  • Experience or familiarity with Java, AWS, Postgres, Kubernetes, Terraform, and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Fluent English (B2 or higher) required.
  • Must be located within commutable distance to UK offices or able to work hybrid.

Hiring process
