Location: Hybrid in Berlin, Germany (2 days a week in the office)

What you will do

• Conceptualize and innovate modeling approaches for large-scale Logistics challenges, drawing from Machine Learning, Operations Research, and Statistics.
• Engineer solutions with your squad to automate model retraining and prediction generation.
• Define data needs and collaborate with data engineering and tech teams on roadmap planning.
• Work with (semi-)structured data from BigQuery DWH architecture and process with Spark.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience applying machine learning methods to real-world datasets.
• Fluency in Python and familiarity with scientific/visualization libraries such as NumPy, Pandas, Scikit-learn, Matplotlib, and Plotly.
• Experience in solving regression and classification problems with statistical, linear/non-linear, and ensemble models (e.g., Random Forest, XGBoost, LightGBM, CatBoost).
• Proficiency with Big Data platforms like BigQuery/Spark and SQL for data extraction.
• Ability to write maintainable code following best practices in software engineering.

• Experience with Time-Series Forecasting, Operations Research, and Statistics.
