Fullstack Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript)

TL;DR

Fullstack Engineer (Node.js/TypeScript): Building and maintaining scalable backend services and responsive frontend interfaces for mobile apps and internal products with an accent on API design, database optimization, and secure authentication. Focus on owning the full development lifecycle from architecture to deployment, improving development workflows, and collaborating on high-impact features.

Location: Hybrid working model (Amsterdam HQ). This role is open only to candidates already residing in the Netherlands.

What you will do

• Design, build, and maintain scalable backend services using Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
• Develop responsive and high-quality frontend interfaces using Next.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Build and optimize APIs consumed by mobile clients (Flutter), ensuring performance and clean data structures.
• Own database design, schema migrations, indexing, and performance tuning.
• Implement robust authentication/authorization flows.
• Deploy and operate production services on AWS, working with EKS, CI/CD, Helm, networking, and scaling.

Requirements

• Strong experience with Node.js, NestJS, TypeScript, Prisma ORM, and PostgreSQL.
• Proficiency in Next.js, React, and TypeScript for frontend development.
• Experience with REST API development, validation, error handling, authentication, and authorization.
• Skills in unit, integration, API, and E2E testing (Jest or similar).
• Production experience on AWS, EKS/Kubernetes, Helm, Docker, CI/CD (GitHub Actions), and observability tools.
• Candidates must already be residing in the Netherlands.

Nice to have

• Experience working with Flutter teams or integrating with mobile apps.
• Startup or scale-up experience.
• Knowledge of microservices or event-driven systems (SNS/SQS/Kafka).
• Contributions to improved CI/CD, DevEx, or performance.
