TL;DR

Compensation Manager (Tech): Designing, implementing, and managing compensation programs for the R&D organization with an accent on benchmarking, market trends, and equity compensation. Focus on shaping compensation philosophy, guiding annual cycles, and advising on leveling and pay equity.

Location: Remote, eligible to be hired in Alberta, British Columbia, and Ontario, Canada.

Salary: CAD $109,600 – $137,000 (Based in Canada)

What you will do

  • Facilitate corporate compensation programs, including annual review and promotion cycles.
  • Design and deliver scalable compensation structures and methodologies for global expansion.
  • Create dynamic compensation models and dashboards, providing data-driven insights.
  • Partner with stakeholders and subject matter experts to address business needs.
  • Manage relationships with internal and external partners.
  • Develop policies and processes, ensuring compliance and minimizing risk.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to HR Business Partners and senior business leaders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 8+ years of relevant experience, preferably supporting technical organizations.
  • Experience with equity compensation structures at a publicly traded company.
  • Excellent project management skills and experience with compensation program design and delivery.
  • Strong compensation analytics background and advanced proficiency with spreadsheets.
  • Strong experience with Human Resources Information System (Workday preferred).
  • Experience with market pricing, survey participation, and accessing survey data.
  • Extensive knowledge of HR products and services and awareness of HR strategy.

Nice to have

  • Prior experience in an R&D compensation consulting role.
  • Prior experience with PAVE, Compa, or other compensation tools.
