TL;DR

Compensation Manager (HR Business Partner): Design, implement, and manage compensation programs for R&D technical talent with an accent on equity compensation, market benchmarking, and compensation analytics. Focus on creating scalable compensation structures, advising on pay equity, and partnering with leaders and HR to support talent attraction and retention.

Location: Remote within the US excluding CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA

Salary: $128,560 - $188,900 depending on location

What you will do

  • Facilitate corporate compensation programs including annual reviews, promotions, and pay equity analyses.
  • Design scalable compensation structures and deliver training for leaders and managers.
  • Create dynamic compensation models and dashboards to provide insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with stakeholders across teams to address evolving business needs.
  • Manage relationships with leaders and partners with emotional intelligence and integrity.
  • Develop policies and processes to support innovation, compliance, and growth.

Requirements

  • Must be located in the US excluding CA, CT, NJ, NY, PA, WA.
  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience with 8+ years supporting technical organizations.
  • Experience with equity compensation at publicly traded companies and strong compensation analytics skills.
  • Proficiency with HR Information Systems, preferably Workday.
  • Excellent project management and communication skills.
  • Ability to thrive in dynamic, ambiguous environments with an owner mindset.

Nice to have

  • Experience in R&D compensation consulting.
  • Familiarity with compensation tools like PAVE or Compa.
