What you will do

• Serve as a strategic advisor to managers on workforce planning, performance management, and employee engagement.
• Manage employee relations, investigations, and conflict resolution ensuring compliance with labor laws.
• Support talent management processes including goal setting, feedback, and career development.
• Ensure HR compliance with federal, state, and local labor laws and update policies accordingly.
• Provide guidance on compensation and benefits programs and assist in salary review processes.
• Analyze HR data and trends to inform business leaders and support HR initiatives.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work with presence in Los Angeles, California, USA
• 6-8 years of HR experience, preferably in a business partner role within fast-paced startups.
• Strong knowledge of HR best practices, employee relations, and employment law across multiple states.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Proficiency with HRIS systems (HiBoB, Deel) and performance management tools (Lattice).
• Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.

Nice to have

• HR certification such as PHR or SHRM-CP.
