What you will do

• Lead and coordinate project execution within a multi-disciplinary, multi-national team.
• Manage risk analysis, project KPIs, and corrective actions to ensure schedule, cost, and quality compliance.
• Coordinate interactions among project teams, subcontractors, and customers.
• Support design-to-cost and company value chain compliance.
• Manage proposals, studies, and technology development activities.
• Organize and lead customer discussions and meetings.

Requirements

• Must have a PhD in Physics or Master with extensive experience in management/technical coordination of optical space instruments or comparable complex systems.
• Experience managing complex instrumentation projects and space-relevant engineering topics.
• Proven stakeholder management and leadership skills.
• Fluency in English; C2 level German is mandatory over the medium term.
• Knowledge of ECSS standards and space engineering regulations is ideal.

Nice to have

• Experience in cost engineering and design-to-cost work.
• Hands-on hardware experience with optical systems.
