What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for data ingestion in the Financial Planning product.
• Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to implement new features aligned with the product roadmap.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Integrate with external data providers such as Snowflake, NetSuite, and Stripe.
• Build and optimize APIs for seamless platform integrations.
• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
• Own the full development cycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.

Requirements

• Location: Hybrid work model based in Lisbon, Portugal
• 6+ years of professional experience with strong backend development focus.
• Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture.
• Experience with testing methodologies including unit-testing, TDD, and mocking.
• Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
• Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
• Willingness to help decouple and replace legacy systems (C#).
• Proactive team player with mentoring experience.

Nice to have

• Experience with Python as primary language.
• Experience developing financial or HR-related applications.
• Experience with large-scale data transforms and tools like Spark, Airflow, Kafka.
• Experience with OLAP datastores such as SingleStore.
