What you will do
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend systems for data ingestion in the Financial Planning product.
- Collaborate with product managers and frontend engineers to implement new features aligned with the product roadmap.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
- Integrate with external data providers such as Snowflake, NetSuite, and Stripe.
- Build and optimize APIs for seamless platform integrations.
- Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Own the full development cycle including design, implementation, testing, deployment, and monitoring.
Requirements
- Location: Hybrid work model based in Lisbon, Portugal
- 6+ years of professional experience with strong backend development focus.
- Excellent knowledge of software design and scalable architecture.
- Experience with testing methodologies including unit-testing, TDD, and mocking.
- Experience with AWS or equivalent cloud platforms.
- Experience with relational databases like PostgreSQL and MySQL.
- Willingness to help decouple and replace legacy systems (C#).
- Proactive team player with mentoring experience.
Nice to have
- Experience with Python as primary language.
- Experience developing financial or HR-related applications.
- Experience with large-scale data transforms and tools like Spark, Airflow, Kafka.
- Experience with OLAP datastores such as SingleStore.
