What you will do

• Act as the technical point of accountability for the Service Market Making Business Unit.
• Drive delivery of entire work-streams, aligning architectural and engineering decisions with business strategy.
• Contribute directly through coding, architecture design, and peer reviews.
• Guide system design, ensure scalability and resilience, and optimise performance.
• Uphold engineering best practices, enforce coding guidelines, and manage technical debt.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and QA engineers for transparent delivery planning.

Requirements

• 5+ years in a Technical Leadership position guiding teams and driving complex projects.
• Demonstrated expertise in architecting and maintaining high-concurrency, low-latency trading systems at scale.
• Advanced proficiency in Rust.
• Deep experience with data-intensive architectures and real-time data pipelines.
• Proven track record deploying, optimising and operating AWS environments for ultra-low-latency workloads.
• Hands-on experience managing Kubernetes clusters in production.
• Knowledge of finance and trading, particularly within the cryptocurrency sector.
• Must be based in the UK or Europe.

Nice to have

• Working knowledge of Node.js (JavaScript/TypeScript) and Python.
• Familiarity with GitOps workflows.
• Experience in fast-paced financial or fintech environments.
