Release Engineer

TL;DR

Release Engineer (Cybersecurity/AI): Identifying and diagnosing software issues and developing, configuring, and automating systems and services to ensure the stability of software updates with an accent on troubleshooting and automation. Focus on diagnosing complex issues within the hirify.global platform and utilizing scripting skills for system development.

Location: Hybrid role, requiring compulsory attendance of 2 days a week in the Cambridge office.

What you will do

• Identify and diagnose new and reported issues within the hirify.global platform.
• Liaise between the development team and the support team.
• Develop, configure, and automate systems and services.
• Troubleshoot software issues and ensure the stability of software updates.
• Collaborate closely with Support Engineers and the Development Team.
• Gain a broad understanding of the hirify.global product suite.

Requirements

• Demonstrated proficiency in problem-solving and analytical thinking.
• Ability to leverage tools and data for troubleshooting and optimization.
• Familiarity with Linux command lines.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Python or Bash.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with others and work independently.
• Strong desire for continual learning.
• Demonstrable networking knowledge, including basic concepts such as TCP, UDP, and DNS.
• Understanding of core Unix system components like services, package manager, and time daemon.

Nice to have

• Previous experience in DevOps or QA roles.
