TL;DR

Senior Software Engineer (AI, Backend): Building and optimizing high-performance rendering backend platforms and robust CI/CD pipelines with an accent on scalability, efficiency, and developer productivity. Focus on designing and implementing AI agent solutions for automation and enhancing system reliability across a massive user base.

Location: Hybrid in Vancouver, Canada, with an expectation to work from the office at least four days per week if living within a 25-mile commute of the Vancouver office, starting January 26, 2026.

Salary: CAD $114,400 – CAD $203,900 per year

What you will do

• Design, develop, and optimize state-of-the-art rendering technologies to deliver fast, scalable front-end experiences.
• Build and maintain robust automation and CI/CD pipeline solutions for a large developer ecosystem.
• Design, implement, and advance AI agent solutions to replace traditional automation logic.
• Develop, enhance, and maintain sophisticated unit, visual parity, and integration test frameworks.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to tackle architectural challenges and foster innovation.
• Proactively improve the availability, reliability, and observability of rendering platforms and automation pipelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements, including passing the Microsoft Cloud background check upon hire/transfer and every two years thereafter.

Nice to have

• Master’s Degree in Computer Science or related field AND 6+ years experience, OR Bachelor’s Degree AND 8+ years experience.
• Demonstrated experience to architect and deliver CI/CD pipelines, automation, and workflows.
• Experience with web front-end technologies (e.g., JavaScript/TypeScript, React, Angular) and object-oriented programming languages (e.g., C#, Java) in developing supporting frameworks and platforms.
• Demonstrated ability to develop and design reporting solutions using Power BI.
• Experience with HTML, CSS, Kubernetes, Azure (or other non-Microsoft cloud platforms).
• Problem-solving skills with an understanding of system design and architecture.
