TL;DR

Director, ServiceNow Platform Engineering: Leading the enterprise ServiceNow platform engineering function, encompassing platform architecture, reliability, and operations across internal and CX-facing capabilities with an accent on establishing technical governance, standards, and guardrails. Focus on building and leading a multi-disciplinary engineering team and partnering with stakeholders to communicate platform strategy and risk posture.

Location: Must work from the Santa Clara, CA office in compliance with Pure’s policies.

Salary: $205,000 - $328,000 USD annual base salary range.

What you will do

  • Lead the ServiceNow CoEI’s Platform Architecture & Support pillar, aligning operating rhythms.
  • Chair the Technical Governance Board and partner with Portfolio Governance and Strategy boards.
  • Define, publish, and maintain platform policies and technical guardrails.
  • Build, lead, and develop a high-performing platform team.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines with automated test gates.
  • Drive performance, availability, and resilience through SRE practices and manage incident/problem resolution.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field.
  • 10+ years working with enterprise platforms, including 5+ years leading ServiceNow at scale in complex, global environments.
  • Proven leadership of platform engineering and operations (multi-instance/multi-environment strategy, CI/CD, ATF, SRE, incident management).
  • Deep knowledge of key ServiceNow products and platform capabilities (ITSM, ITOM, HRSD, CSM, App Engine).
  • Demonstrated experience with CSDM and CMDB strategy and data quality.
  • Strong security and compliance acumen and executive-level communication skills.

Nice to have

  • Relevant ServiceNow certifications (e.g., CIS, CAD, CTA); ITIL; SAFe/Agile credentials.
  • Experience operating a global or large-scale ServiceNow footprint.
  • Familiarity with common CI/CD tooling and practices for ServiceNow.
