Java/Kafka Developer (Fintech)

TL;DR

Java/Kafka Developer (Fintech): Building and optimizing scalable, event-driven data services and integrating high-volume streaming pipelines with Snowflake with an accent on real-time processing, analytics, and business-critical decision workflows. Focus on microservices architecture, data security, and applying domain-driven design principles.

Location: Elastic hybrid from Gdynia / Gdańsk (at least 2 days per week from the office)

Salary: 1000-1300 PLN/day (B2B)

What you will do

• Design, develop, and maintain data-intensive, event-driven services using Java and Kafka.
• Build and enhance microservices architectures, ensuring scalability, resilience, and observability.
• Implement real-time data pipelines and integrations with Snowflake and other cloud-based systems.
• Ensure proper data security, including OAuth/JWT authentication.
• Apply domain-driven design principles (DDD, ports & adapters / hexagonal / clean architecture).
• Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives within an Agile environment.

Requirements

• Strong, senior-level experience in Java (10+ years).
• Solid expertise in Kafka (5+ years).
• Senior-level proficiency with Kubernetes.
• Advanced knowledge of SQL and experience with large datasets.
• At least 2–3 years of hands-on work with Snowflake.
• Practical experience with Spring Boot and Hibernate/JPA.
• Experience building microservices architectures and understanding reactive programming concepts.
• Good command of SOLID principles, common design patterns, and DDD.
• Knowledge of OAuth, JWT, and related security mechanisms.
• Fluency in English for everyday communication.

Nice to have

• Experience with Angular.
