Mid/Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Fintech)

Mid/Senior Backend Engineer (Java, Fintech): Building and optimizing high-load backend services for a financial super app with an accent on mobile APIs, microservices architecture, and critical systems like risk management and fraud detection. Focus on greenfield development, improving existing systems, and ensuring clean, maintainable code with TDD, DDD, and continuous integration/delivery.

Office locations: Dubai, Krakow, Lisbon, Madrid, Porto. Remote work is available from Cyprus, Czech Republic, Greece, Ireland, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Serbia, and 4 other countries.

Salary: Krakow/Poland: PLN 28,300 – PLN 40,000 gross monthly. Compensation for other locations will be discussed during the interview process.

Requirements

• Fluency in English.
• Fluency with Java.
• 6+ years of experience in backend development.
• A bachelor's degree in computer science, maths, physics, or similar field.
• Ability to work well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
