What you will do

• Lead and mentor a team of backend engineers (Python, Go), fostering professional growth and technical excellence.
• Oversee the software development lifecycle, ensuring best practices, coding standards, and quality assurance for scalable software delivery.
• Partner with product and engineering teams to align development efforts with business objectives and requirements.
• Prioritize resources, set milestones, and monitor progress for timely project delivery.
• Drive innovation and continuous improvement by integrating emerging technologies and industry best practices.
• Build strong relationships with stakeholders and external vendors for complex API integrations.

Requirements

• 10+ years of software engineering experience, including 5+ years of hands-on development of complex systems.
• 4+ years managing software engineering teams of at least five engineers.
• Proven experience developing high-volume, high-performance APIs for a SaaS product.
• Strong leadership, managerial skills, and deep understanding of software engineering principles.
• Experience working with large, external vendors.
• Excellent problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills.
• Must be authorized and based in the United States.
