Senior Data Engineering Manager (Data Science/ML): Leading and inspiring data engineering teams to modernize and enhance the Data Platform using Data Lakehouse architecture with an accent on data governance, batch ingestion pipelines, and platform improvements. Focus on designing scalable data systems, implementing best practices, and mentoring teams to drive innovation and excellence.

Location: Paris, France, hybrid with 2 days home office per week and additional remote flexibility during summer and December

What you will do

• Lead two teams of Data Engineers and Data Ops to implement and maintain data processing best practices based on Data Lakehouse approach
• Own the data platform roadmap and collaborate with Data Governance, Product Management, and Architects
• Enhance batch ingestion and validation pipelines and contribute to data transformation and governance programs
• Foster a culture of excellence, continuous improvement, and alignment with business objectives
• Mentor and upskill team members and coordinate Proofs of Concept (POCs)
• Contribute to system architecture design alongside Architects

Requirements

• Location: Paris, France
• Proven leadership and mentorship experience in data engineering teams
• Extensive experience with Data Lakehouse architectures and Data Mesh principles
• Strong knowledge of Data Governance, metadata management, data lineage, and observability
• Proficiency with AWS, Terraform, Python, SQL, Snowflake, and Airflow
• Experience with data modeling and medallion architecture

Nice to have

• Experience with Apache Iceberg and Delta Lake
• Realtime data processing at scale
