What you will do

• Lead and mentor engineers and managers across three data engineering squads.
• Build and orchestrate complex data pipelines across batch (Airflow, dbt, BigQuery) and streaming ecosystems.
• Ensure real-time reliability of high-throughput ingestion services for Search & Recommendation.
• Champion data quality and governance, establishing automated monitoring and SLAs.
• Act as a strategic partner to Data Science & Analytics, providing reliable datasets and tooling.
• Drive strategy, translating tribe-level goals into a comprehensive technical roadmap.

Requirements

• M2 Leadership Experience managing managers and multiple diverse squads (Data and Backend Engineers).
• Proven architectural excellence in building robust data platforms on cloud infrastructure (GCP/AWS).
• Deep expertise in Python, Airflow, dbt, BigQuery, Kubernetes, Kafka, Flink, Spark.
• Strong understanding of real-time backend systems and high-scale APIs.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills, bridging technical and business needs.
