Salary: €200,000–€250,000 + ESOP

What you will do

• Shape and execute the long-term technology direction for a cloud-native, real-time payments platform.
• Champion engineering excellence, guiding architectural decisions, and elevating delivery standards.
• Build and mentor distributed engineering teams across regions.
• Oversee resilience, security, and compliance of production systems.
• Strengthen DevOps and platform-operations processes to support scale and reliability.
• Drive the organization’s approach to AI in software engineering for design, testing, development, and productivity.

Requirements

• Background in fast-growing environments with a strong payments component.
• Significant senior leadership experience (Director, VP, or CTO level) within high-scale businesses serving major enterprise clients.
• Demonstrated ability to run cloud-native, API-first platforms supporting real-time financial transactions.
• Interest or experience in using AI tools to accelerate engineering output and quality.
• Confident operating in regulated environments where security, compliance, and operational resilience are critical.
• Willing and able to spend one week per month on-site in Berlin.
