What you will do

• Own and maintain the enterprise data model and canonical entities across systems
• Architect and manage the dbt semantic layer with rigorous standards and testing
• Govern KPI and metric definitions in partnership with Finance and BI teams
• Enforce data contracts, schema governance, and implement CI/CD tests
• Drive observability, data quality standards, and automated monitoring
• Collaborate with Legal, IT, and Internal Audit to ensure compliance and SOX readiness
• Mentor team members and set technical standards for data modeling and governance
• Partner cross-functionally to align data ingestion, dashboards, and KPI integrity

Requirements

• Must have 9+ years experience in data engineering or analytics engineering
• Proven ownership of enterprise-scale data models or semantic layers
• Advanced SQL, dbt, CI/CD, testing frameworks, and Git workflows
• Experience with data contracts, quality tests, and governance standards
• Familiarity with SOX controls, audit evidence, and IPE lineage
• Strong communication skills to bridge engineering, finance, and compliance
• Location: Must be based in or near Dallas, United States
