What you will do

• Mentor and evangelize observability best practices, SLIs/SLOs, and reliability culture across engineering teams.
• Architect systems for growth and scale, ensuring stable infrastructure at scale.
• Implement internal tools to automate common developer tasks.
• Perform incident response and debug production issues across the entire stack.
• Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure used by all engineering teams.
• Automate detection and resolution of recurring issues.

Requirements

• Location: Must be based in or near Somerville, MA with hybrid work onsite 3+ days per week
• 5+ years experience with open source observability tools and distributed systems instrumentation.
• Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and promQL at scale.
• Proficiency in Go and Typescript, and ability to pick up new languages/frameworks quickly.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
