What you will do
- Mentor and evangelize observability best practices, SLIs/SLOs, and reliability culture across engineering teams.
- Architect systems for growth and scale, ensuring stable infrastructure at scale.
- Implement internal tools to automate common developer tasks.
- Perform incident response and debug production issues across the entire stack.
- Design, build, and maintain core infrastructure used by all engineering teams.
- Automate detection and resolution of recurring issues.
Requirements
- Location: Must be based in or near Somerville, MA with hybrid work onsite 3+ days per week
- 5+ years experience with open source observability tools and distributed systems instrumentation.
- Hands-on experience with OpenTelemetry, Prometheus, and promQL at scale.
- Proficiency in Go and Typescript, and ability to pick up new languages/frameworks quickly.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.
